[Press Release] Korean Education Center in New York to Administer the 105th Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK)

□ The Korean Education Center in New York (Director: Changwon Park) has announced the schedule for the 105th Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK*), administered by the National Institute for International Education (NIIED), Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea.* Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK)
□ The 105th TOPIK will be held on Saturday, April 11, at three locations in Southern and Central New York: Manhattan, Queens, and Cortland.

□ The registration period is from January 26 (Monday) to February 4 (Wednesday). Applicants may register online through the Korean Education Center in New York website at www.kecny.org/topik.
□ TOPIK is a national standardized test designed to assess and evaluate Korean language proficiency for non-native Korean speakers, including foreign nationals and overseas Koreans.
ㅇ TOPIK results may be used for admission to Korean universities, employment opportunities, as well as applications for scholarship and training programs sponsored by the Government of the Republic of Korea.
□ TOPIK is divided into two levels based on difficulty: TOPIK I (Levels 1–2) for beginners, and TOPIK II (Levels 3–6) for intermediate and advanced learners.
ㅇ TOPIK I consists of Listening and Reading sections (total score: 200 points). ㅇ TOPIK II includes Listening, Reading, and Writing sections (total score: 300 points).
ㅇ TOPIK I begins at 9:40 a.m. and lasts 100 minutes, while TOPIK II begins at 12:20 p.m. and runs for 180 minutes.
