Notice of the Administration of the 105th Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK)
The Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) is a nationally administered examination designed to assess the Korean language proficiency of non-native speakers and to contribute to the advancement of Korean language education. The examination is conducted by the National Institute for International Education (NIIE) under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea, in cooperation with the Korean Education Center in New York (KECNY) and the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in New York.
The Korean Education Center in New York administers the TOPIK once annually. The next examination is scheduled to be held in April 2026.
Applicants seeking alternative examination dates are advised to consult the link below for the schedules of other TOPIK test centers within the United States.
2026 TOPIK Test Dates (Outside New York)
Please refer to the information below for details regarding the upcoming 105th TOPIK (Paper-Based Test, PBT):
A. Test Date
Test Date: Saturday, April 11
TOPIK I
Session 1 : Listening & Reading (100 minutes) : Check-in (Entry) : 9:10 / Start : 9:40 / End : 11:20
TOPIK II
Session 1: Listening & Writing (110 minutes) : Check-in (Entry): 12:20 / Start: 12:50 / End: 14:40
Session 2: Reading (70 minutes) : Check-in (Entry): 15:00 / Start: 15:10 / End: 16:00
⚠ Examinees must be seated at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the examination.

⚠ Test locations are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. If a preferred test site reaches full capacity, applicants may be assigned to an alternative location. In such cases, examinees will be notified in advance. Early registration is strongly recommended.
C. Test Registration
Registration Period: Monday, January 12 – Friday, January 23

TOPIK I : USD 40
TOPIK II : USD 55
Eligible : Open to all applicants (no age restrictions)
⚠ Test fees are non-refundable after the close of the registration period.
⚠ NO additional applications will be accepted after the registration deadline (January 23).
⚠ Test selected test site and test level CANNOT be changed after registration.
⚠ A minimum of 10 examinees per test is required. If fewer than 10 applicants register, the test will be canceled and a full refund will be issued.
⚠ Applicants requiring special testing accommodations must contact the Korean Education Center in New York (KECNY) no later than January 23.
D. Notes
Items to Bring : Test admission ticket and a valid form of identification
Identification Requirement (Strictly Enforced) :
All examinees must present an official, valid photo ID that includes the holder’s photograph, date of birth, and full legal name in English.
The information on the identification must exactly match the details provided in the application.
No exceptions will be permitted.
Examinees who fail to present proper identification will be denied entry to the examination room and will not be allowed to take the test.
Electronic Devices Prohibited :
The use or possession of any electronic devices is strictly prohibited, including but not limited to mobile phones, smart watches, tablets, and recording devices.
All electronic devices must be powered off and submitted to the proctors prior to the start of the examination.
Failure to submit any electronic device, even if switched off, will be regarded as cheating.
Individuals found in violation will be disqualified from the examination and will be prohibited from taking any TOPIK examinations for a period of five (5) years.
⚠ Examinees are strongly advised to review the Test Guidelines provided in the link in advance. It is the applicant’s responsibility to understand and comply with these guidelines. Any disadvantage resulting from failure to do so shall be the sole responsibility of the applicant.
E. Test Results
The printable test results will be available on the TOPIK official website (www.topik.go.kr) on May (To be announced once the date is confirmed.)

교육부 산하 국립국제교육원이 주최하고, 주뉴욕총영사관 뉴욕한국교육원이 시행하는 2026년도 제105회 한국어능력시험(Test of Proficiency in Korean, TOPIK)을 다음과 같이 안내드립니다.
1. 시험 일시
일시 : 2026. 4. 11.(토), 9:10 ~ 16:20
TOPIK Ⅰ
1교시: Listening & Reading 영역 (100분 소요) : 입실 9:10 / 시작 9:40 / 종료 11:20

응시 대상: 한국어를 모국어로 하지 않는 자 (연령 제한 없음)
※ 접수 기간 종료 후, 응시료 환불 불가
※ 접수 마감 후, 추가 접수 불가
※ 접수 마감 후, 시험 수준 및 장소 변경 불가
※ 각 시험은 수준별 10명 이상 접수 시에만 시행되며, 최소 인원 미충족 시 시험은 취소되고 응시료는 전액 환불

4. 유의 사항
준비물 : 수험표, 신분증
국가에서 인정한 공식 신분증 원본을 반드시 지참하여야 하며, 사진, 영문 성명, 생년월일이 포함되어야 함 (예: 유효기간 내 여권, 운전면허증, 학생증 등)
규정에 부합하는 신분증이 없는 경우, 사전에 뉴욕한국교육원으로 문의 바람
전자기기 소지 금지 : 시험 중 모든 전자기기(휴대전화, 스마트워치 등)의 소지는 금지되며, 시험 전 전원을 종료한 후 감독관에게 제출하여야 함
부정행위 처리 : 부정행위 적발 시, 해당 시험은 무효 처리되며 향후 5년간 한국어능력시험 응시 제한
※ 응시자는 반드시 응시 유의 사항 및 부정행위 처리 기준을 사전에 확인하여야 하며, 이를 숙지하 지 않아 발생하는 불이익은 응시자 본인에게 있음
5. 성적 발표
발표일 : 2026. 5월 중 예정 (날짜 확정시 재 공지)
